Buffalo Trace Pops Up in Paris in Time for the Olympic Games

Buffalo Trace in Paris

The famed Buffalo Trace Distillery is bringing its renowned whiskey to Paris this summer, but only for a limited time. Following the success of the world’s most award-winning distillery’s branch in London, this pop-up shop at 36 Rue Etienne Marcel in Paris’ 2nd arrondissement marks its second location outside the US.

This is not your average pop-up shop, however, as not only will they sell classic, sought-after Buffalo Trace whiskeys such as Eagle Rare, but also exclusive Paris-themed merchandise. Most notably, it will provide select fans of the distillery access to a private Weller-themed lounge for some of the first pours of the new, ultra-rare Weller Millennium.

With the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Paris open until August 23, it’s the perfect escape for whiskey lovers to experience the luxury of Buffalo Trace amongst the buzz of Paris as they host the Olympic Games.

Ed Bell, homeplace director of Buffalo Trace Distillery said: “We know there will be an increase in foot traffic to the city in July and August, and our prime location will give visitors an excuse to go beyond sporting and cultural events while in town.”

The bespoke Weller-themed lounge, titled 12 Gold, is the highlight of this location with its exclusive, invite-only access for the most discerning of whiskey fans.

Inside 12 Gold, a range of Weller expressions will be sampled by you in a private tasting, including a pour of the highly-coveted Weller Millennium. From July 26 - August 11, this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will be available to those who have entered themselves for a chance to win.

Following your shopping and private tasting, visit Experimental Cocktail Club Paris (ECC) at 37 Rue Saint Sauveur. Here, from July 26 - August 10, bartenders from across France hold two-week residencies, creating designer drinks with Weller 12 at the center.

This Paris pop-up follows the recent opening of Buffalo Trace’s first permanent store outside the US in London. The store, located in Covent Garden, also provides a sensorial spotlight on the distillery’s portfolio. Two exclusive tasting experiences at this location can be pre-booked online, allowing guests to savor the taste of Kentucky.
