Israel's Rafah offensive continues as UK investigates British-Israeli hostage death | BBC News

Israel has continued its offensive on several parts of Gaza as the Israeli Defense Forces say they have found Hamas tunnels leading from the Rafah crossing into Egypt. It comes as the IDF continues to order controversial evacuations from the area. Israel says it has created a humanitarian area in Al-Mawasi, but the UN says the area has no running water and poor sanitation. Meanwhile, the UK is investigating a claim by Hamas that a British-Israeli hostage has died in Gaza. Hamas claims Nadav Popplewell died of wounds sustained in an Israeli airstrike more than a month ago. The Israeli military is yet to comment.
