The medical charity, Medicins Sans Frontieres (MSF), has urged humanitarian organisations that have suspended work in Sudan to return to the country. Many aid workers left when war broke out a year ago. Since then, more than 12,000 people have died, with nearly five million people facing emergency levels of hunger. MFS called on the United Nations to use its influence and leadership to ensure a rapid increase in aid.
